Mom’s speciality vegetarian style…

W hen Jyoti announced her Mother Day Special Event , My immediate reaction was – I can send all of my posts to this event. My whole blog is dedicated to single person who is not only my inspiration to cook but also to eat. My Mom is a working woman but still she prepares (even now) Heavy Breakfast; All chapattis + chutney + koshimbir + sabzi for our lunch box and for dinner chapatis + rice + dal + chutney +koshimbir + sabzi. If this is not enough as soon as she used to return from work my first question used to be – “Momma khayla kay ?? ”; Entered fast track evening snacks for us. Thanks to her my tummy grumbles even now as soon as Clock turns 5.00 p.m. Unbelievable naah …. I’m Superwoman's Daughter!! Blind Folded Eggs

Give me two options – A or B , I will say A B A B A B ..A..B it might go on for a while. Yups, I’m a bit indecisive girl 8-| Especially about small things like – what I’ll wear for function or what I want for breakfast, if I have two options like either half fry or half poached Eggs – I go for Blindfolded Eggs. ;;) This dish is best of both of both dishes. Half fried from bottom and poached at the top. Heat some butter on half fry pan, split an egg for half fry. Drop couple of ice cubes around it and cover it. While doing so, add salt and pepper.Hence the Half fry is steamed from top. The white of egg covers the yolk and hence blinds it to christen it as – Blind Folded Eggs. Have it with toast or JLT. You can also use this as a topping over spaghetti or American choupsey. Happy Cooking and Posting about it :)

How to use up Stale Bread - Part 2

Part Two /:) … it’s not a series going on here, just that I prepared couple of dishes using up few of stale slices of expensive Multigrain Bread which was lying in my refrigerator for a more than a week. And I posted one here followed by Part Two now:P I had bookmarked Nupur’s soup which used up the stale bread ,on similar lines I prepared this Tomato Bread Soup. Using up stale bread is different from the bread crumbs,as the first one gives the thickness to the soup while the other one crunchiness. The Foodie had been suffering from cold n cough for quite a long time, so this was a good reason for me to try out this soup (so what if it had “stale” bread..its a secret between US.. let him realize it when he reads this.. if he would :P) You Need: Stale Bread: 2 slices– Cubed Tomato: 2 - Pureed Onion\green onion: 1-2 small - grinded Garlic cloves: 2 - grinded Spring Onion: 2 stalks - shredded Chilli flakes: 2-3 tsp – I used Pizza deliverable – 2 sachets. Pav Bhaji

A s L ong A s I can remember Pav Bhaji has been and will always be my all time favorite. Every birthdays I recollect Pav Bhaji has to rule the menu. And I can proudly and quite comfortably say that This is the the ONLY dish which I can prepare at any time of day – year and it will always be a reliable perfect dish :P Not only homemade Pav Bhaji but the typical Shiv Sagar one or even the street food ones are all time favorites … Its one of the consistent dish I always order @ any fast food counter. For non mumbaiyya people “This dish started out as simple poor people fast food it consists of mix veggies which are smashed in a typical masala and this veggie is served with paav (Bombay Bread).” But today its one of the most common Indian Fast food served all over India. Till now its evident that I am very passionate about this dish, so while posting about it I had this mammoth emotional memories going into my mind and was confused as to which one to jot down but then I better jum

W ith so many guessing games going on… let me try one … Guess this ! No prize but if you do.. I will declare you an Ardent Foodie, cos this is not at all Easy. I prepared something that looked liked this with that : It is a simple dry sabzi which we had it with simple Masala Rice and Kadhi. So put on your thinking caps and tell me … what do you really think is this.
