How lucky can you get! Preparing a new dish for guests guinea pig cousins – dish which you haven’t heard or never tried, and you get applause for it =D> Yeah... it was one of those lucky day for me :D The Foodie had mentioned about Methi Muthhiya for some time now, as I never heard\had these earlier I never ventured the idea of preparing them. But over the weekend we thought of preparing some new starter with those fresh green Methi. This is new and crispy starter – snack item and very healthy as prepared with one of the most versatile green vegetable. You Need : Fenugreek (Methi) Leaves: One Bunch Corn flour: One measure Gram flour (Besan) : One Measure Turmeric Powder: ½ tsp Red Chili Powder: 1-2 tsp as per taste Coriander Powder: 1 tsp Carom Seeds ( Ajwain - Owa): 1tsp Cumin Powder: 1tsp Baking Powder: pinch Salt to taste Water: If needed - To prepare thick dough Sesame Seeds: 2-3 tbsp Oil : 2-3 tbsp You Do: ...

Sabudana Vada from the Ghats..

Have you travelled Mumbai-Pune by train?? If not then; you have missed on something heavenly. The weather, Ghats- Valleys, Monkeys on varied points, Pleasant greenery, mild chilling wind – this just makes you going. If this is not suffice there is Karjat cha Vada-Pav or Lonavala chi Chikki – though not authentic yet apt for the time. Along with these you get wonderful Omelettes , Cutlets, Bread rolls, Sabudana Vades etc – thanks to Indian Railway Catering Services. I may not be big fan of them (due to its oil dripped stuffs) but I admire the way they provide regional + national delicacies; this pleases all varied types of passengers. Though Sabudana Vada with coriander chutney is one of the famous Maharashtrian evening Snack; thanks to IRCTC it has become Mumbai-Pune patent fried snack. How to use up Stale Bread – Part 1

Part One /:) … it’s not a series going on here, just that I prepared couple of dishes using up few stale slices of expensive Multigrain Bread which was lying in my refrigerator for a more than a week. And I plan to post them in two posts so Part One :P So how do you use up Stale Bread? If by any chance you throw it, please do not do it the next time. Bread is a good adherer so I normally use it in a Tikki, tomato omelette or thalipeeth. I experimented with this weird dish which can be christened as “Omelette Thalipeeth”, as the final output looked like a hybrid between Thalipeeth and Omelette. Ignore the prehistoric snap of my poor omelette but this is my regular omelette . A s L ong A s I can remember Pav Bhaji has been and will always be my all time favorite. Every birthdays I recollect Pav Bhaji has to rule the menu. And I can proudly and quite comfortably say that This is the the ONLY dish which I can prepare at any time of day – year and it will always be a reliable perfect dish :P Not only homemade Pav Bhaji but the typical Shiv Sagar one or even the street food ones are all time favorites … Its one of the consistent dish I always order @ any fast food counter. For me Ragda Pattice associates as My BRO s favorite snack; so had to try this when he was around for his exaggerative comments “Tai makes this perfect”. People love Pani Puri or other crispier chaats but this Dude loves Aloo with Lentil gravy.
